job hunting

job hunting, is bored......

and looking for job in jobsdb and jobstreet is damn bored....because there are TOO MANY job offers....read till super sienz..........

so i gave up these two portal for one month plus...... i rely on the BBA career service centre's TalentEdge..... but now, i am getting a stronger and stronger feeling that BBA career service centre will do a filtering before sending our applications to the specific companies +__+
and more and more people told me that, TalentEdge, is for CLEVER people only .....

win liao lo, as a PASS degree ONLY holder, i think this is the reason why I did not get any calls from any company.....haiz

the SPIRE consultant i went for the test, also hopeless....haiz.... i wrote an email to her, and asked for my result... she replied " we are still waitng for the marking, do check with me again", then one week later, i email her again.... but nobody replies..... T^T
win liao lo....... totally being ignored liao....haiz, actually i also did not put much expectation to this test la.... but just hope that at least i am qualified to get an interview mar.....

i am quite satisfied with the life now la.....slack at home doing nothing.....just the income is negative.......but the expenses never decrease....... and do not feel like asking money embarrassingly from parents..... (although they only give me RM200 per month T______T totally not much lo)

sent so many applications and end up totally no calls from company..... my opinion is... it is very difficult to be a shortlisted person.... haiz.......(actually in my mind....i think i also do not wish to receive call la...as i am scared to go interview ler....stress)

haiz........can i get the job without any interview? haiz.......

looking for jobs.... is super bored..... haiz.......i should go back to jobsdb and jobstreet to seek for hope again

happy bintan trip

last saturday, I went bintan, tanjung pinang.... i think...the city in bintan is called tanjung pinang....bah??

the whole trip cost SGD158.....EX?????

actually NO....

it was a trip package, with return of the ferry tickets (normally it costs SGD40 plus), tranportation, 1 lunch, 1 dinner, 2 days 1 night hotel accommodation, hotel breakfast buffet, tour guide and sight seeing places.....

woke up at 6:30am for shower (due to my newly curly hair and my face T^T), and shit...i suffered insomnia the previous day....stayed awake until 4am......that was really wonderful T_T, i only slept 2 hours.......

took cab to tanah merah ferry interchange...wow...surprisingly, it looks like the airport...very clean and beautiful....(because the ferry interchange in my mind initially is something like pangkor harbour -_-, ) ate my breakfast, which was a dao3 hui1 halfway, jy and wq came..... we started queuing and changed 50SGD to rupiah....the exchange rate is 1SGD:6700 rupiah....so indeed, I was the millionaire....I had 335000 rupiah in hand...hahahaha

9:20am, we can board our ferry, berth 4....wavemaster ferry....free sitting....and surprisingly..... there was no empty seats for 2 people.....and good lor....4 for us sat separately for 2 hours..... luckily i brought my ipod...ate the seasickness pill from jy, (not because of suffering seasick....is due to i wish to take a nap on the ferry =.=") and luckily, i managed to sleep for 2 hours during the ferry trip..... by the way... the toilet was disgusting... o.O

the time in indonesia is one hour earlier than singapore's. therefore, the time we reach bintan was only 10 or 11am plus.... quickly finished my unfinished breakfast and we set off to the day tour.... the tour transportation for us was Toyota Unser...looked great, at least not lokok one....hahaha...this was a 6 people tour.... 4 of us plus another 2....and surprisingly, 1 of them is singaporean, another is malaysian too.... we have 3 singaporeans, 3 malaysians...fair...hahahaha

our tour guide is johnny...he is very kind...and i feel pity for him...he treated us very nice, wished to accompany us for shopping and tried his best to take care of us...... and all of us appreciated his efforts! but maybe, bintan really has nothing for us to shop =__= the bintan mall he brought us was very lokok one.... but i bought a REAL polo ralph tee, and only cost SGD19.2 only lo.....wahahahahahaha....... he brought us to visit the old street (?!! or street??!) in bintan, (which was very similar to our ah fook street)....and he brought us to buy pickle sour plum, (which is always available in our pasar malam), and dried sleeve fish (which is always available in my ahgong's pangkor harbour hometown) -____- and lastly.....he brought us to a not super supermarket for shopping..... he told us that we can buy some food or drinks in the supermarket as around our hotel is being isolated.....ok lo...we bought a bottel of 2 litres pokari sweat...hahahahahaha

lunch was ok...got chicken, fish, crab etc....and 6 of us started to wonder..."wah, so hiong? got crab in lunch liao wor" but hor....no vegetables ler.....hahaha, overall, it was nice...

after that...sightseeing....we went three temples -________________-

kept praying praying and praying....... luckily, we finally had the chances to take our camera out for pictures.....and i can have my coconut!!!!!!!!! the weather of the day was damn hot...and i kept mumbling for a coconut....the coconut only cost 5000 rupiah (if i am not wrong)...which was only few cents in SGD....oh my god~~~~ we sat at the seaside and the coconut meat was so soft....cool~~~~~~~ before leaving, there was a hawker who sells pineapple tart, he let us tried... the pineapple tart was just being baked....still heated...and it was DAMN NICE...it was different from the one we usually eat during chinese new year.... 3 boxes for 10SGD, end up everyone of us bought-_______- and demand exceeded the supply....only left one box for me..... he said the quantity in the tupperware for testing is exactly equal to the quantity of two boxes, he asked me whether can accept the tupperware box.... i immediately replied:"ok, sure" (because i earned one tupperware box ler...hehehehehehe) end up, the whole tray of him...suddenly empty liao....only left some other products, like honey...

after sightseeing...we finally can move on to our hotel....and the journey is about 1 hour from tanjung pinang.... all of us pray that the hotel will not be very lokok -____- as the scenery during the journey wasnt that acceptable.... =p once johnny said, we have reached....everyone of us started to be panic...."har??? where is it? here is nothing...." BUT!!!! after a turn, we saw a extremely beautiful resort!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i really have to strongly recommend ANGRO RESORT.....the resort is damn luxurious~~~~~ and it has its own BEACH!!! which means the whole beach is included in angro resort..... the beach is nice, the resort is nice, the building is nice, the facilities is nice, the swimming pool is nice, and the service is nice!!!!!! and the decoration in the room is nice too, every room has a BALCONY..and it faces the sea!!!!!!!!!!!! and another important thing is, the satelite here can receive Singapore TV show..channel U, channel 8 and channel 5...even TV1, 2 , 3 also got lo...wahahahahahahahaahahahahaha (but no 8tv ner...or i never realised??)

after resting, we were brought to a damn beautiful and romantic place for dinner.....sea side dinner!!! and the food there was damn nice.....wheat prawn, crab (again~~~~~~just, lunch was chili crab, dinner was black pepper crab), fish, tomyam soup, chili kangkung etc.... frankly la....this trip was damn worth....hahahaha...(it happened a short blackout...that time we went kukup also like that...i think three of us dai4 sai1~~~~)

after dinner, we walked by the beach~~~ there was an outdoor karaoke, free of charge..but too bad, no new chinese songs provided...the latest chinese song is from beyond +__+ there was a restaurant in the middle of the sea, with the bridge linking..... all of us visited and decided to have lunch there on the next day... there was a live band at 9:30pm...but too bad, i was exhausted, was not willling to wait~~~ (as had to wait till singapore time 10:30pm ler....i only slept 2 hours plus 2 hours ler...hahaha)

four of us decided to play snooker at the lobby... one hour cost SGD4...which was SGD1 for each person..... it was fun, as jy and i dunno how to play....anyhow lar~~~~hahahahahaha.... after showered.... we rent a mahjong set.... 12 hours for 12 SGD~~ then we asked the lobby ppl, what if we exceeded 12 hours? will we suffer a penalty.... he replied " no la~~haha" they even brought one mahjong table, 4 chairs to jy's room......walao~~~ why the ppl in bintan so friendly one? hahahhahaha...... no gambling la~~~~playing while eating chips while watching jacky wu's guess guess guess, it was enjoyable~~~hahaha

we decided to meet each other at 9am the following day.... therefore, we were forced to wake up at 8:30am....TMD...damn tired~~~ we walked downstair to have our poolside breakfast buffet.... the food there was very nice!!! was much better than the breakfast i had in bangkok =_= variety for us to choose... and three chefs were there for preparing roti prata, omelette and noodles.... we waited waited and waited...jy and wq havent reached..... suddenly i looked at the clock on the wall....oh no, indonesia was only 8:30am....... and the previous day we did not inform each other what country time should we follow +___________+ 9am, they reached, but two of us finished....so we decided to go back to rest first, as it was low tide........ no water for us to play also T^T.....we woke up so early so what~~~ wuwuwuT___T..... we waited waited and waited~~~~~~~ waited till 12pm.... sea water still wasnt enough, end up all of us decided to play in the swimming pool first...... this was the first time i played water since 10 years ago....hahahaha~~~~~~ after an hour, we finally satisfied with the sea height..... SGD22 per pax for one banana boat and mable~~~~ mable was something held by the speed boat....damn excited and fun~~~~~~~~~~~~we had to grab tightly, otherwise we would drop to the sea......very very EXCITED~~~~the banana boat was so-so only.... keep being thrown to the sea water....and kena drank a lot of salt water -________-

seasport made us exhausted... we supposed to check out at 12pm, luckily the resort ppl was really very nice... they allowed us to have a late check out after we finished the seasport~~~~~ the agro resort hor..... really damn nice ler~~~~~~~after 2pm checkout, we went to the seaside restaurant to have our lunch.... but i ordered food wrongly...it was a side dishes~~~ not main course.... end up i ordered a bowl of plain white rice +__+ (even the plain white rice got decorated de lo...) the mango milkshake was nice too~~~~~~

after lunch, we left the resort.... we were able to shop in Ramayana before set off back to singapore..... I bought one blouse and shoes there....only within SGD10 each~~~ the bintan ferry terminal indeed was the pangkor harbour's type..... and the funny thing was.. after i came out from the toilet, the person who stood outside asked me to pay +__+ and i didnt bring my bag along... end up i went back to pay 1000 rupiah~~~ we didnt want to sit separetely like the previous day, so we started to queue up at 6:15pm.. (6:30pm ferry suppose to leave) end up...ferry delayed....walao~~~~~ until 7 ferry then reached....... and the terminal was damn lokok....the light wasnt switched on, and the air-conditioned was off :s walao eh~~~ everyone of us were sweating...........

7pm ferry reached...and really walao eh~~~~~ there were plenty of empty seats...... we really did not have to queue like tat lo T_______T

i discovered that, it was exactly the same ferry as we took yesterday.... the toilet was the same......disgusting as the previous day........ T^T

we reached singapore at 10pm plus......it was an exhausted but happy and enjoyable trip!!! =D

next stop... batam??? hahahahaha

insomnia

Don't know why...i suffer this problem......Since last december, i started to have insomnia.....but not everyday la......only when I feel tension.....
from what I Yahoo.....

THERE ARE FOUR TYPES OF INSOMNIA
Psycho-reactive Insomnia:
This is caused by tension. The subject gets into bed and begins to think about the activities that went on throughout his day. He may think about what he has to do tomorrow. He may be thinking about some other problem. His mind is keeping him awake with worry. In addition, he may begin to worry about getting to sleep because he has to waken in the morning. He may worry that he may become ill or die from lack of sleep.

Endogenous Insomnia:
This is caused by a discomfort within the body ranging from indigestion to pain.

Exogenous Insomnia:
This is caused by external disturbances such as noise or a partner's snoring. This is the easiest type of insomnia to cure.

Functional Insomnia:
This is caused by a functional problem in the subject's sleep-wakefulness center in the brain.

Basically...I am the psycho-reactive type..... I am afraid that I will suffer insomnia (which is very scary..)....then end up this is the thing that make me worry....and make me cannot sleep.....very funny huh? because i afraid that I cannot sleep, and lead to I really cannot sleep -_-"
When I have something in mind....for example quarrelled with someone, have to wake up early the next day, have to face something bad the following day..... I will not get into bed.... =(((((

Do not tell me, "don't think, just don't think, SLEEP"
it is not working for me ='( it is because, end up i will think " don't think, sleep, don't think, sleep" ....and make myself more tension......
and please do not scold me.....do not blame me......for example "WHY you don't want to sleep?", "What are you doing for making urself so energetic?"
this is because, I MYSELF also WISH to sleep.....i WANT to sleep...but i am just not able to do it =( and I am already frustrated, and feel so useless for not able to sleep.....
when i suffer insomnia, it is really suffering and torturing..... when I lay on the bed for 3 hours but still not able to sleep....I will feel so helpless..... and wish someone can help me, someone can talk to me....and can calm me down....as I really feel tension, and I am scared....

usually, when I suffer insomnia...I will turn on my msn.....and find shanming.....this is because she is from archi....hahahaa...as archi people will not sleep in the midnight.......
hahahahahahahahahahaha
I think i need to find someone to talk, to express, in order to transfer my focusing, calm me down....but usually, there is really not much people will stay awake at 4am......

anyway....I seriously hope I will not suffer insomnia again....(but I also seriously don't think so :'( )
I have to find a way to make myself relax.........haiz......(by the way, I will not suffer insomnia when I am at home....i think my bed is really comfortable...haha)

From Yahoo:

1. No one has ever died from or become ill from lack of sleep. The body and mind will get at least the minimum amount of sleep that it needs, no matter what. If you lose some sleep one night, the next night you will get some additional sleep to make up the loss.

2. We all have an internal clock. This internal clock brings about an apex of fatigue in cycles. Although the cycle is different in each individual, it generally runs between four and six hours. In other words, every four to six hours, you will have an apex of fatigue, and this will be when it will be easiest for you to fall asleep. After the apex of fatigue, you will experience a renewed feeling of energy and at this time it will be quite difficult to fall asleep.

3. Although subjects complain of not having slept a wink all night, it has been proven in sleep laboratories that we all sleep during the night. Sometimes the subject feels that he has been lying awake thinking, but actually he has been sleeping lightly -and dreaming.

4. Trying to fall asleep: There is a law of nature called The Law of Reversed Effect. It says that if you try to do something, you will get the opposite. The harder you try, the more you will get the opposite. So, trying to fall asleep will insure that you will remain awake. It would be better for you to try to remain awake!

5. Alcohol will put you to sleep: This may be true; as alcohol is a depressant. However, as soon as it wears off, you will abruptly awaken and it will be harder than ever to fall asleep.

6. Sleeping pills can help: During sleep it is the dream phase of sleep in which you get your rest. Sleeping pills suppress the dream phase of sleep. That is why one generally awakens more tired than before going to sleep after using sleeping pills. You will get more rest by lying awake quietly than you will from narcotic induced sleep. In addition, one builds up a tolerance to this type of medication so that more and more is needed. In addition to the tolerance, an addiction to this type of medication is also likely.

EFFECTING A CURE
1. Find out when your time of greatest fatigue is in the evening. At least an hour before your time of greatest fatigue, take a warm bath, slightly warmer than body temperature, soak and relax for 20 minutes or so. (It is important to note that a shower just won't do.) A bath is strongly recommended.
2. Have a warm beverage, preferably not coffee or tea.
3. Discontinue thoughts of problems that you have, or what needs to be done tomorrow. If you are worried about forgetting what you have to do tomorrow, write it down.
4. Stay away from stimulating thoughts and television shows. If you must read, then read something that is boring.
5. Reserve your bed for sleep. Do reading and television watching from a chair only.
6. Get into bed at least 20 minutes before your apex of maximum fatigue. Once in bed, if worries begin to pop into your mind, tell yourself, "I'll think about it tomorrow, I'll think about it tomorrow". This will go a long way toward eliminating excessive thoughts and can be repeated several times. Do not try to make your mind blank. Do not try to fall asleep. Just allow yourself to rest.
7. For Endogenous Insomnia, you should eliminate the discomfort to the best of your ability.
8. For Exogenous Insomnia, make the room as quiet as possible. If your partner snores, you can move to another room. Running a fan motor can also help induce sleep as it will tend to cover up outside noises and the monotonous drone of the fan generally proves to be very relaxing.

From Google:

See a Doctor
Insomnia can be a symptom of physical disorders, although for most of us it's the result of tension, stress and anxiety—and of course the more anxious we get about our insomnia, the worse it gets. If your doctor pronounces you a "healthy" insomniac, he might suggest some of the techniques provided here. Or she might prescribe drugs to help you get to sleep.
We suggest you try all these methods first, and use drugs only as a last resort. The decision, of course, is yours.

Take a Warm Bath
It's a great way to relax your body. Don't overdo it, however. You merely want to relax your body, not exhaust it. Too long in hot water and your body is drained of vitality.
Use bath salts, or throw in Epsom salts and baking soda—one cup of each. These will relax you and also help remove toxins from your body.

Get a Massage
Have your spouse (or whoever) give you a massage just before going to sleep. If you can convince them to give you a full body massage, great. If not, even a short backrub and/or a face and scalp massage can be a big help. Have them make the massage strokes slow, gentle, yet firm, to work the tension out of your muscles and soothe you to sleep.

Listen to Music
Play some soft, soothing music that will lull you to sleep. There are even cassettes and records designed for that very purpose. Some are specially composed music, others simply have sounds of waves rhythmically breaking, or the steady pattern of a heartbeat.
Of course if you don't have a record, cassette or CD player that will automatically turn off, we don't suggest this. If you have to get up and turn it off at the end, you've obviously lost its effect.

Drink Warm Milk
A glass of warm milk 15 minutes before going to bed will soothe your nervous system. Milk contains calcium, which works directly on jagged nerves to make them (and you) relax.

Drink Herb Tea
If you don't like milk—or are avoiding dairy products—try a cup of hot camomile, catnip, anise or fennel tea. All contain natural ingredients which will help you sleep. Most health food stores will also have special blends of herb tea designed to soothe you and help you get to sleep.

Eat a Bedtime Snack
Avoid Caffeine, Alcohol and Tobacco
Sleep in a Well-Ventilated Room
Sleep on a Good Firm Bed
Sleep on Your Back
Get Some Physical Exercise During the Day
Keep Regular Bedtime Hours
If You Can't Sleep, Get Up
Don't Sleep In
Get Up Earlier in the Morning
Keep Your Bed a Place for Sleep
Avoid Naps
Avoid Illuminated Bedroom Clocks

Of course there's the standard insomnia remedy that everyone knows (although it never worked for us)
Counting Sheep
Some insomnia techniques you probably haven't seen before
Sleep With Your Head Facing North
Don't Watch TV or Read Before Going to Bed
Toe Wiggling
Stomach Rub
Progressive Relaxation
Deep Breathing
Visualize Something Peaceful
Visualize Something Boring
Imagine It's Time to Get Up
Quiet Ears
And some new suggestions from readers who have found these remedies useful for their own insomnia.
Not Thinking
Smoke Yourself to Sleep
Yawning
Sex—Alone or with Others
Backwards Counting / Mental Computer
South, Not North
Earplugs
Secure Place
Bedtime Routine
Hot Water Bottle
Green Cows—and Other Animals of Color
